Our interns are out here hiking and capturing mome Our interns are out here hiking and capturing moments in nature!

Lauryn, one of our interns, loves hiking with Outdoor Equity Coalition because it’s more than just hiking. It’s a BIPOC outdoor community where people come together for healing, good energy, snacks, laughter, and access to local trails around the Seattle-Tacoma area 💚

Whether you’re brand new to hiking or already outdoorsy, OEC makes it easier to show up, feel welcome, and experience nature in community.

Especially for youth, who can actually get paid to join our hikes and events!

Keep an eye out for future events because trust… we’ve got BIG things coming 👀🌲✨

We’re dialed into youth healing for real 🌿 On 3.1 We’re dialed into youth healing for real 🌿

On 3.13, youth from Seattle’s Kingmakers Program and from Outdoor Equity Coalition stepped into a powerful experience at the Unspoken Truths Museum and Totem Star Digital Studio — grounding in truth, culture, and creativity.

At the museum, curated by Delbert Richardson, youth engaged with history that didn’t shy away from truth — confronting America’s painful and racist past with honesty and accountability. This is what real healing and learning looks like.

From there, youth tapped into music, storytelling, and digital media — turning reflection into voice and creativity into power.

This is the work. OEC and our partners are committed to creating spaces where youth can heal, grow, and lead.

And we’re just getting started 👀

More paid OEC youth internship opportunities are coming soon, keep an eye on our calendar and here on social media for more events!

And the most important thing that youth can do to get involved? REGISTER with OEC via the link in our bio.

We want YOU to pull up and be part of this movement.
