Dear Outdoor Equity Coalition Participants,
We have several great opportunities for you to participate in the Outdoor Equity Coalition Summer Series as an intern or youth team member.
Summer opportunities include:
- Hike for Healing coordination: August 8, 2026, at Dash Point State Park
- Umoja Fest Street Team: August 1–2, 2026, at Judkins Park — $75 for each full day of service, Intern Leader Jayla Robinson
- Sundiata Festival Street Team: August 23–24, 2026, at Seattle Center — $75 for each full day of service, Street Outreach for the Outdoor Equity Coalition, Intern Leader Jayla Robinson
- Sun Lakes Overnight Campout: August 23–26, 2026 — $150 for each full day of service. We will provide meals, a loaned tent, and sleeping bags included; learn to camp and recreate responsibly, Intern Leader Jayla Robinson
To participate, you will be required to complete one four-hour paid training. Participants who complete the training will receive a $50 gift card and free lunch while learning the basics of event coordination, community outreach, participant support, safety, teamwork, and leadership.
Two pre-training opportunities will be offered:
- July 25, 2026, at 12:00 noon — Dash Point State Park
- August 14, 2026, at 12:00 noon — Van Asselt Community Center, before the Sun Lakes Overnight Campout
